The Bateham Family Genealogy at www.bateham.com was Updated on April 1, 2011

Since our previous (January 12, 2011) web site update we have new information on 29 of our ancestors, cousins, and other kinfolk. We have also found and added 14 additional names to this extended family history, now totaling 4,612 of our kin past and present.

In these web pages you will find documented history on our ancestors lives. Finding who our ancestors were, and because of them, who we are, is a mystery to unravel — a real life who-dun-it. There are clues to follow, people to interview, deductions to be made, false trails, heroes and villains, and maybe a beautiful princess. It is an absorbing journey that brings history, and understanding, to life through the eyes of your family.

In these web pages you will also see pictures including portraits and wedding photo's, as well as many images of the original documents that enhance the information and history about our ancestors, including: Selected census images from 1840-1930; ships manifests, Land Patents or "homestead papers"; Military records including: Civil War Pension Index Cards, World War I Draft Registration cards and World War II Draft Registration Cards; "Vital" records including Birth Certificates, Marriage Certificates, and Death Certificates, as well as Family Registers from Bibles; Newspaper articles including obituaries, and even pictures of gravestones, marking their final resting places; and many, many others of both a personal and a historical interest.
